OUR STORY
In September of 2016, Joe Hopkins, an attorney and successful entrepreneur, developed the idea to form a company to help companies monitor their legal bills and catch any overcharges or non-compliance. Over the course of a career spanning the last four decades, he had seen the billing practices of the legal industry firsthand after reviewing countless bills he received in the course of general business, M&A, and real estate transactions. As a lawyer himself, he recognized a clear trend: these bills were becoming progressively more egregious. Joe invited Ryan Loro to join the company as president soon after.
Over the next two years, the company continued to scale, acquire clients, and establish proof of concept. It was at this time, in the summer of 2018, when Ryan reached out to Dan Schneider, a long-time business partner, to help take the company from a garage band to a headliner. Dan had founded the industry-leading cost savings consulting firm, SIB Fixed Cost Reduction, in 2008, and built it into an organization which has reviewed over $5 billion in spending to date, including for many of the world’s most recognized corporations. Dan officially joined LegalBillReview.com in November 2018 and brought his knowledge of scaling spend management and cost savings operations.
From late 2018 to today, LegalBillReview.com has been methodically building a stable of loyal clients and refining internal processes and technology to continuously improve our clients’ experience.

President
Ryan Loro has two decades of experience in executive management, data analytics, and technology. Prior to joining LegalBillReview.com, Ryan ran Innovative Data Solutions, a technology company specializing in automating ERP solutions and business systems for the manufacturing and wholesale distribution industry. As President of LegalBillReview.com, he guides the company’s strategic growth by marshaling an array of legal industry experts to increase transparency and simplicity in companies’ outside counsel expenses.
Joseph Hopkins, Esquire
Founder
Joe Hopkins has practiced law for more than four decades, specializing in real estate, tax, and corporate matters. In the early 2000s, Joe founded Records Management Company, a document storage company which was later acquired by Iron Mountain. Joe also founded RMC Developments LLC, a real estate firm specializing in the investment and development of multi-use and retail projects. As Founding Member at LegalBillReview.com, his experience in the legal industry and deep understanding of legal billing practices enable the company to refine its processes and maximize its benefit to clients.
Dan Schneider
Principal
Dan Schneider is an entrepreneur specializing in growing and developing companies with a focus on business to business services. After establishing a successful chain of retail mobile phone stores and an international wholesale mobile phone company, Dan founded SIB Fixed Cost Reduction, a consulting firm that built a large and diverse client base reviewing over $5 billion in expenses for organizations such as Walmart, Hyatt Hotels, Pep Boys, Marriott, and the American Red Cross. After 12 years at the helm, he sold the company to private equity firm O2 Investment Partners. Dan leverages his experience to guide strategy and optimize company operations.
Blake Watermeier
Chief Operating Officer
Blake Watermeier has over 20 years of leadership experience. Formerly instrumental in scaling operations for the hyper-growth of Frida, as well as having 13 years of experience with FedEx. He has worked in various industries, including retail, commercial and industrial supplies, travel, commercial print, and wholesale consumer goods. Blake's operational expertise spans business strategy, performance management, and building high thriving organizational teams. As the Chief Operating Officer at LegalBillReview.com, he oversees the success of driving business results through exceptional customer service and improved processes.
Brian Arbetter, Esquire
General Counsel, VP of Compliance/Law Firm Relations
Brian Arbetter has over three decades of experience as lawyer and equity partner in several of the largest law firms in the US and world, including Baker McKenzie, Norton Rose Fulbright, Sheppard Mullin and Mitchell Silberberg & Knupp. He has expertise in a myriad of legal practice areas, including labor and employment, commercial contracts, litigation, transactions, regulatory, privacy, international and compliance, among others. He also has extensive experience in leadership of Bar and non-profit Boards. He is admitted in California, Illinois and New York and has practiced before courts and administrative agencies in almost all fifty states, as well as numerous countries outside of the US. As General Counsel & VP Compliance/Law Firm Relations, Brian oversees LegalBillReview.com’s legal and compliance issues and is the primary representative to all law firms with which LegalBillReview.com partners.
Jeff Adkins
VP of Operations
Jeff Adkins has over a decade of experience in legal work and professional consulting, specializing in contracts, compliance, and project management. Before LegalBillReview.com, Jeff led legal operations for consulting firm SIB Fixed Cost Reduction, handling contract negotiations with a diverse array of clients including major retailers, manufacturers, restaurant groups, universities, and real estate investment trusts. Jeff also served as a legislative director in the U.S. House of Representatives. As VP of Operations at LegalBillReview.com, he oversees analysis of legal bills from start to finish, managing data, supervising our team of analysts, and interfacing with clients and their law firms to identify and correct any excessive charges.
Virginia Griffith, JD
VP of Business Development
Virginia Griffith is an experienced leader in the legal industry with a passion for business development and legal operations. Virginia spent 11 years with Thomson Reuters in a variety of roles, primarily focusing on the research and knowledge management needs of in-house counsel. Virginia also spent time working for KPMG and Deloitte, working closely with corporate legal departments in support of their legal operations and regulatory programs. Most recently, Virginia worked in the Events Team at ALM Media. As VP of Business Development for LegalBillReview.com, Virginia manages outreach and support for corporate legal departments seeking to better manage and reduce their outside counsel spending.
Aaron Isaacson, JD
Director of Business Development
Aaron Isaacson has over fifteen years of experience in the legal, legal operations and legal technology ecosystem. Aaron is a consultative partner and trusted advisor engaging in new business development and providing client management services to corporate legal and legal operations departments around the world, spearheading the deployment of both SaaS and service-based solutions, and helping clients strategically invest their resources. Aaron received his Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois at Chicago Law School in 2008, and practiced law for several years thereafter. As Director of Business Development, Aaron supports the business challenges, needs, and processes of corporate legal department to consult, advise and make recommendations for improved legal spend management.
Kimmy Woodworth
Director of Marketing
Kimmy Woodworth has over 15 years of marketing experience and has spent the last decade working with B2B enterprise solutions, driving growth through brand and multi-channel marketing strategy. She has partnered with several companies in the technology space such as Verifi- a Visa Solution, NVA, Acuant, and Roo.vet, helping them plan and execute their marketing strategies. As Director of Marketing, she leads the efforts to amplify LegalBillReview.com’s brand and partners closely with Sales to drive business opportunities.
